PERTH, AUS – VGW is excited to announce the launch of Monopoly Match, marking the company’s first-ever Match 3 game, utilising one of the most iconic brands by global games leader Hasbro.
Combining one of the top genres in online games (Match 3) with the iconic Monopoly brand, VGW has opened up an exciting new chapter, delivering a fresh experience to its millions of players across North America, while also aiming to attract new audiences. The launch – which is in the early stages of a phased rollout – adds a popular new games category to VGW’s portfolio, expanding the company’s presence beyond its existing world-class online Social Plus brands and exclusive content powered by its in-house games studios.
Designed to appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers, Monopoly Match is an interactive online social game where players must roll the dice, solve puzzles and collect properties in order to proceed to the next level. The game incorporates many of the iconic tokens and elements of the original boardgame, is available for players aged 18 and over, and can be downloaded on the app store for Android and iOS. In-app purchases are available via the Google and Apple stores.
Monopoly Match is in the scaling phase after launching in the US in November 2025 and performing in line with — and in several areas exceeding — early expectations.
The reception from players has been particularly strong, consistently generating high user ratings across both platforms in the 4.7–4.8 range, which VGW’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mats Johnson, said was a “very encouraging signal of early engagement and product-market fit”.
